World war I

During the first world war, the Netherlands had a strictly neutral policy. Because of that, any military aircraft that made an emergency landing on Dutch territory had to be confiscated and the pilot was taken prison.

These aircrafts were used by the LVA, the just started Royal Dutch Airforce.
