Fokker B.1./M.10E

Wingtest of the M.10E

Delivery for Austria

Biplane reconnaissance aircraft and trainer, built for Austria. It was renamed as B.1 and used as a twoperson trainer.

On the left is shown how wingtests were done at that time.

The aircraft was simply turned 180 degrees and placed on wooden blocks. The hollow wings were filled with sand until they broke from the fusilage.

At that time the Fokker technicians knew what weight the wings could bare and how strong they were.
